After four years of remaining exclusive to PS4 and PS5, miHoYo’s Genshin Impact is now available for Xbox Series X/S. It supports 4K and HDR on the Series X, and Game Pass Ultimate members can also take advantage of Xbox Cloud Gaming (though mobile versions are available separately).
Subscribers can also avail of free materials to get a leg up, from 10 Hero’s Wit to level up a character, 15 Mystic Enhancement Ore to improve weapons, 100,000 Mora, and Northlander Billet Trove to choose one of five 4-star weapons. You also get two Intertwined Fate to pull for new characters on event banners.
Furthermore, the Xbox version launches alongside Version 5.2, ‘Tapestry of Spirit and Flame,’ the next chapter set in the nation of Natlan. It adds two new characters, Chasca and Ororon, and new areas to explore.
Genshin Impact is seemingly only the beginning, with Zenless Zone Zero also allegedly coming to Xbox with its next update in December. Nothing is official, so stay tuned for announcements in the coming weeks.
