UNESCO and Oxford to launch free global AI course for governments

The United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) has partnered with the University of Oxford to launch a new, free online course aimed at building global capacity for digital governance.
The open online course, titled ‘AI and Digital Transformation in Government,’ will be launched on 10 November.
Participants will explore critical topics such as artificial intelligence (AI) and human rights, ethics and data governance, inclusive service design, leadership for digital transformation, and practical applications of generative AI tools.
Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate jointly issued by UNESCO and the University of Oxford. Further information and course registration details are available at:
UNESCO, through its Category 2 International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI), has launched the AI Tools Radar, a multilingual repository of over 200 curated tools to help public institutions, media, and the judiciary adopt AI responsibly.
