GANG’s creative response to the zeitgeist

GANG is known for its denim heritage: authentic washes, modern fits and clean attitude. But behind the blue gold there is a creative cosmos that is constantly evolving. In addition to denim, innovative cotton interpretations, special materials and new design techniques are becoming increasingly important for both the design process and the space.
From blue blood to hybrid surface
‘We transform successful denim styles into an authentic cotton look,’ explains Yvonne Weitl, Head of Design at GANG . It’s not just about changing materials, but about a new play with surfaces and wearing properties: ‘The border between Cotton and denim is becoming more and more blurred, the decisive factor for us is the look.’
A particularly experimental highlight is the imitation of denim on cotton. ‘We print on cotton materials and imitate the structure, washing and look of denim,’ says Weitl. The result is hybrid styles that have the look of denim. They open up a new dimension of denim style with authentic denim treatment. Material-conscious, surprisingly and harmoniously embedded in the collection, they represent modern lightness with depth.
Cord to print: the common thread of innovation
With corduroy, punto jersey or newly developed washes, GANG has already shown in recent seasons how much scope there is in the further development of the denim DNA. ‘The desire for something special has remained, but the path to get there is more varied today,’ says Weitl. The complexity is reflected in the choice of materials and the silhouettes: corduroy variants and washed flat weaves do not compete with denim, but rather expand on his idea stylistically and commercially. The decisive factor is the design style that connects all the lines. ‘New approaches are adopted little by little. Even a changed perspective often provides the decisive impetus for innovation.’

Heroines of the season
Two models particularly strongly embody the idea of innovation through familiarity. ’94ODINA’ presents itself Barrel fit with cool casualness in ‘Brina Wash’, a dyeing technique that creates depth and combines the used look with sophisticated elegance. The striking cord structure creates tactile tension and makes the style an all-rounder with a twist. The fine rib structure of the ’94THELMA’ underlines the wide straight fit made of washed indigo cord and interprets the classic denim look in a surprisingly soft way. ‘Cord meets indigo – the blue blood also pulsates in cotton,’ says Weitl.

Bridge to summer
The creative bridge to spring/summer 2026 has already been made: corduroy looks are being further developed with fine indigo stripes, denim looks are printed on cotton linen and the mid-summer ‘indigo feeling’, as Weitl calls it, is being reinterpreted with airy materials and the always authentic GANG twist.
‘Denim remains strong, but corduroy and flatweave go hand in hand,’ she concludes. Conventional processing techniques continue to form the basis, but special washes, new printing techniques and material combinations make the label so relevant: in tune with the times, with attitude, creativity and a clear sense of what fashion needs today.
